The feedback following the app testing has now enabled easier connection of the ne apps to other storage devices like Google Drive. For the Word Android app, users can now easily check documents anytime within the day, as well as read and edit comments to the documents.

For the PowerPoint for Android, the app enables users to do presentations as one would with a desktop. The apps are currently recommended for Android 4.4. OS and up due to software constraints.

It appears that the app still makes use of the cloud instead of local storage. The upside of this is that users can now easily access documents that are in cloud storages such as Google Drive, Dropbox or Box.

Speaking of Dropbox, the app for Android has also been redesigned, making the addition of real Microsoft Office apps for Android even timelier. The new version has been built to create a faster and more efficient Dropbox app for Android, according to the Dropbox Blog.

The updated app brings a couple of new things on the menu:

-       Put photos in the right folder or take a photo and upload it directly to avoid using the device's gallery or space storage

-       A new search icon and easier browsing to navigate folders faster

-       Sharing controls are now in the same place via the info pane

The Dropbox app for Android is set to release to all Android apps in the next couple of days. Other recent features that have been included in the Dropbox app include a PDF viewer and in-document search.
