Apple has recently released the second beta version of the iOS 9. This allows anyone to preview the new features coming to the new OS.

iOS 9 enables auto app delete and re-installation of the apps during OS updates. Specifically, this feature will be useful for those who have devices that already have insufficient space, MacRumors reported.

When users are trying to install the iOS 9, there will be a pop-up note for devices with insufficient space. This informs the user that some apps will be deleted temporarily so that the update can be installed. After the update is completely installed, the deleted apps will then be reinstalled.

This resolved the problem encountered by iOS users installing the previous iOS update for 4GB. Devices with smaller storage spaces suffered and were forced to update more slowly than others.

The size of the iOS 9 has also been reduced and will be 1.3 GB size. However, there is still the question of what will happen to the data in the temporarily deleted apps, so it is best to wait for Apple's official announcements on the matter.

The introduction of the iOS 9 is not just beneficial for the upcoming iPhones, but also for older models. Apple's goal is not only to introduce new and innovative iPhone iterations in the market, but also ensure that older models, such as the iPhone 4S and iPad Mini will run more efficiently with the new iOS 9, 9to5Mac reported.

The restructured engineering process allowed for better support of the OS on older devices. This also aims to do away with the buggy attribute that has been seen in older iOS updates.
