Former governor of California and "Terminator: Genisys" star Arnold Schwarzenegger expressed his feelings about the breakup of his son Patrick Schwarzenegger and pop celebrity Miley Cyrus on a radio show.

During a "The Howard Stern Show" interview, host Howards Stern asked the 67-year-old Austrian-born actor all manner of questions, from his iconic Terminator role, the end of his governorship, his failed marriage with Maria Shriver and even his fathering of a love child with a housemaid.

At one point, Stern expressed the fact that he got nervous when he heard that Patrick was dating the "Wrecking Ball" singer. Arnold said it did not bother him that his son was dating the pop star, despite Cyrus' notoriety among the press. The actor talked about how he would have been nervous, if not for the fact that his "kids are very strong."

"They have had their upbringing," Arnold said adding the other reason is that he thought Cyrus was a "fantastic person" when he met her personally. He went on to speak about how Cyrus had been spending a lot of time with the family, and complimented her several times.

Cyrus and Patrick have broken up on good terms, a fact which a third-party individual has confirmed to People. Prior to the split, the website had reported that the two had been trying to work out their relationship after a suggestive spring break photograph that was taken at Mexico had surfaced.

Arnold also revealed in Stern's interview that he felt accountable for his own split with his now ex-wife Shriver. He expressed that his disenchantment with marriage counseling was the reason why he felt he should patch things up himself.
