Dallas Mavericks, Brookyln Nets, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets, Indiana Pacers and Golden State Warriors are interested in hiring Asian-American player Jeremy Lin.

Lin will be available for hire from July and hence numerous teams are keen on getting him on their team. Despite having a lackluster stint with Los Angeles Lakers, Lin is still thought of as a worthy player for many teams.

Lin has been struggling a lot lately in his form and his current salary is also a big stumbling block for the interested teams. According to SCMP, he may need to decrease his salary in order to continue playing with robust teams.

NBA's first Chinese-American created history when the New York Knicks roped him in their team three years ago. His stellar performance on the field gave rise to the "Linsanity" phenomenon.

The twenty-six-year old is a role model for other Asian and Chinese athletes, who hope to be drafted in the NBA.

During an interview, he spoke about his passion for basketball and how he proved his detractors wrong. "A lot of people didn't think I would be able to play basketball for a living," he said. "People tend to look down on you if you're a certain type of person with a certain type of appearance, but you have got to believe in yourself, and then anything is possible," according to Christian Today.

Lin was recently mentioned at the 97th position on the "Forbes' Annual List" of the 100 highest paid athletes with earnings in excess of $18 million.
