Former "Game of Thrones" star Ed Skrein had big shoes to fill in when he was roped-in to replace Jason Statham in the upcoming action flick, "The Transporter Refueled." However, it appears from the newly released trailer of the movie that the actor has surely risen up to the standard.

Seven years after the previous installment of the action film "Transporter" came out, "The Transporter Refueled" is set to hit the theatres on Sept.4. Highly sought-after, special ops mercenary Frank Martin will now be played by Skrein, who will be seen trying to save his kidnapped father in the movie.

Skrein will play the iconic role of the highly-skilled transporter, although the essence of his character remains the same. Skrein's Martin character will once again be following the three famous golden rules of "Transporter" franchise, namely, never change the deal, no names, and never open the package.

The upcoming French-Chinese action thriller will show Skrein's character Martin been hired by three female bank robbers owing to his high octane driving and fighting skills. However, one of the persons being robbed kidnaps Martin's dad and gives him just 12 hours to make things right.

The movie is shot on several locations throughout the South of France. The upcoming movie will also star "Thor" actor Ray Stevenson, "22 Bullets" star Gabriella Wright and "Quantum of Solace" star Anatole Taubman, Irish Examiner reported.

The movie, directed by Camille Delamarre of "Brick Mansion" fame, was earlier supposed to release on March 6, Venture Capital Post reported. The movie's schedule was later shifted to June 19 before setting Sept 4 as its release date.
