iPhone 6 was scrutinized that it can be bent easily with minimal pressure. However, the problem was reportedly resolved in the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus and the handsets are rumored to be sturdier.
The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus are blessed with stunning appeal and their respective slimmer profile of 6.9 mm and 7.1 mm, which makes them even more desirable. However, several users and tech experts had heavily criticized Apple for the iPhone 6 with mediocre quality chassis that led to bending problems.
In order to avoid bending problems on the successor models, the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus, Apple is rumored to make use of Series 7000 aluminum to build their metal chassis, Forbes reported. The newer aluminum alloy is said to be 60 percent sturdier than the one that was used in building the chassis of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus.
Fresh rumors indicate that since the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S will come with Force Touch enabled display, the thickness of will increase by 0.2 mm on both the devices, MacRumors reported. Hence, the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S may measure 7.1 mm and 7.3 mm in thickness and the Series 7000 aluminum will make both the handsets even sturdier.
The thicker design also indicates that more space will be available on the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus for including larger batteries. Both the devices are expected to come with upgraded features like new pink or rose gold color variant, 12 MP main camera, 5 MP selfie camera, improved NFC chip, and faster Cat. 6 LTE chip.
