After an explosive Episode 7, The Fox's latest television drama "Wayward Pines" is set to air an action-packed Episode 8. The upcoming segment will see the aftermath of the deadly explosion that occurred on the streets of the creepy town. Here are few spoilers for the next chapter titled "The Friendliest Place on Earth." Read on to find out what happens next.

Episode 7 ended with a major cliffhanger. In the last scene, Amy and Ben were seen lying on the ground, unresponsive. Are they dead? Episode 8 "The Friendliest Place on Earth" will reveal the answer to the same question.

A synopsis for "Wayward Pines" on Spoiler TV assures that Ben and Amy are alive. However, their condition is critical as their lives hang in balance. Ethan decides to unveil the face of the criminal who was behind the terrifying act involving his son and his classmate.

Elsewhere, Harold backs out from the secret mission he and Kate had planned to carry out. As for Nurse Pam, she takes up the responsibility of interviewing the surveillance engineers who could shed the light on the mysterious incidents occurring in the town.

According to TV Guide, things are only going to get intense on "Wayward Pines." In the upcoming segment, fans will reportedly see how Ben's teacher Mrs Fisher urges Ben to act as the force of change in the community after surviving the explosion.

In one of his first speeches, Ben accuses his father for the explosion and not being effective in stopping the terrorist acts. Ethan begins to feel the burden of the guilt as memories from his past surfaces. The report notes that the upcoming episode will dig deeper into Ethan's backstory as his current situation in Wayward Pines reminds of some bitter memories from his childhood.
