The Nexus 5 (2015) is expected to have the latest technology but one question that comes to mind is whether the upcoming nexus 5 will feature Project Fi, which is exclusive to the Google's current flagship smartphone, the Nexus 6.

Project Fi is Google's programme to offer hassle-free service to smartphones and was exclusively introduced to the Nexus 6. The company's unique SIM card helps the smartphone access multiple networks.

According to the Google, Project Fi is a program to offer a fast wireless experience in close partnership with leading hardware manufacturers, carriers and their users. Project Fi utilizes new technology to give users better connections to Wi-Fi and fast speed in more places.

Project Fi technology enables access to two 4G LTE networks, which means that the mobile phone can connect to more towers.

According to the software giant, Project Fi connects users to more than a million free, open Wi-Fi hotspots they have verified as reliable and fast. The technology helps keep users speed high and their data bill low-whenever they are on Wi-Fi, they are not charged for usage of data.

Several reports suggest that the Nexus 5 (2015) will be made by LG but will not be based on the LG G4. The smartphone will rather be based on an unreleased model.

The new device is expected to have a 5.2-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. It will run on Android M and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.

The device will have a 3 GB RAM, a 2 MP front snapper and a 13 MP main camera. Furthermore, the Nexus 5 ( 2015) will house a 2700 mAh battery.

It is expected that the Nexus 5 (2015) will launch in October or November. However, according to a Geek Snack report, the new Nexus smartphone will be released along with Android M in August.
