The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 release date is heavily rumored to occur in September this year at the IFA 2015 event. However, Samsung is also rumored to be working on another high-end phablet, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus that is also expected to release soon.

The Galaxy Note 5 codenamed as Project Noble will arrive with the model number SM-N920. The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus with Project Zen codename will carry a model number of SM-G928, Sam Mobile reported.

Design

The Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will wear a premium finish as the rear panels of the both the devices will be made of toughened glass.

Rumors are rife that both the devices will not feature a microSD slot and removable batteries. Both the handsets are expected to be available in colors like black, white, and silver and gold.

Display

The Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus phablets are both going to feature display screens of 5.67 inches. The Super AMOLED display both the devices will support Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.

The Galaxy Note 5 will be sporting a flat screen, but the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will be a jumbo version of the recently released Galaxy S6 Edge flagship. The S6 Edge Plus will arrive with dual-edged curved screen.

Chipset, RAM and Storage

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be get its power to deliver unmatched performance through the in-house Exynos 7422 chipset. The ePoP chip (also known as all-in-one chip) will contain a 64-bit octa-core processor, graphics, RAM and native storage.

The Note 5 will come in storage options like 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB. The expandable storage on the Note 5 will support up to 128 GB of microSD.

The Galaxy Note Edge Plus will come with Snapdragon 808 chipset onboard that will feature a hexa-core. The amount of RAM that will be available on this device is not known yet. The internal storage of the Galaxy Note Edge Plus will be 32 GB.

Camera and Software

Speculations indicate that the Galaxy Note 5 will sport the same 16 MP rear camera with OIS and 5 MP selfie camera that is available on the Galaxy S6.

The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will come will also come with a 16 MP camera that will support 4K video shooting and OIS. The front-facing camera will be of 5 MP.

The Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will come shipped with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.  It will be overlaid with TouchWiz UI. The Note 5 will feature an enhanced S-Pen stylus that will be enabled with auto-ejection

Battery

The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will be packed with a battery of 3,000 mAh whereas the Note 5 will be loaded with a massive battery of 4,100 mAh capacity, GMA News reported.
