More information on the OnePlus 2 appear ahead of launch as OnePlus holds an AMA over at Reddit. This time, the company answers some fan query regarding a few of the specs for its flagship phone for this year.
The OnePlus team touched on a number of points about the OnePlus 2, starting with the device's size. Though the exact specs were not revealed, the OnePlus 2 is definitely smaller than its predecessor, small enough for it to fit under the OnePlus without being seen. Speculations immediately ensue on whether or not the screen or the bezels have been trimmed, but the creators did not comment any further.
OnePlus also touch on the battery and revealed that it will pack 10% more power due to the 3300mAh battery. Again, this was besides the fact that the OnePlus 2 is smaller. The company was not as specific when it came to the camera, but merely alluded to the fact that the camera will set the OnePlus 2 apart.
Finally, as far as the Oxygen OS goes, the OnePlus 2 will see some added features. But the company will also aim to keep the OS clean and simple save for customizations and tweaks.
While most fans will have to wait until July 27 for the full reveal of the handset, there were some fans who had the privilege to experience the handset first. These fans are the winners of the contest that OnePlus held earlier this month.
As a teaser, OnePlus has released some videos where the fans talk about what they like most about the OnePlus, as spotted by TechnoBuffalo. The OnePlus fan, Christian, dubs the OnePlus to have a premium feel, due to the materials that were used.
Sadly, most of the specific details and features of the OnePlus 2 are not revealed. While the fan narrates his experience, the areas where the fan talks about specific features of the phone are censored. The fan did mention that he was pleasantly surprised to find one feature that he was not expecting at all.
There are also a few hint, such as a slight change in the design that made the entire build more comfortable to handle. He also pertained to a certain upgrade in the OnePlus 2 that topped the fan's expectations. The complete video can be seen below.
