The much awaited “Mortal Kombat X” release for PS3 and Xbox 360, will reportedly happen by the fall 2015, and will more likely follow Kombat Pack 2.

“Mortal Kombat X” launch for the last generation consoles, initially delayed in March, was earlier speculated to be in July or August, but with no updates from the game developer NetherRealm, the game is expected to hit the PS3 and Xbox 360, only by the end of this year, PlayStation LifeStyle reported.

Lending some weight to further rumors, a representative of WB Games has made it clear that as of now there is no update on “Mortal Kombat X” for PS3 and Xbox 360.

“We don’t have any updates to the comment that we provided a while back,” a representative said, according to Game Informer.

Rumors have it that the developer will first roll out the Tremor DLC, the last in the Kombat Pack of four DLCs announced at the time of “Mortal Kombat X” launch. Tremor DLC release is expected to happen by early August, following the pattern of every month launch - first Jason Voorhees DLC in May, second Tanya DLC in June and the most recent Predator DLC in July.

A Kombat Pack 2 is also said to be in the works that will possibly follow Tremor. This leads to a speculation that pinpoints the upcoming DLC and Kombat Pack to be the reason for delay in the game’s launch for PS3 and Xbox 360.

However, these reports should be taken with a pinch of salt, as NetherRealm is yet to officially reveal further details on “Mortal Kombat X” release for PS3 & Xbox 360.
