Samsung will reportedly move up the release of its new Galaxy Note 5 to mid-August. This movewill likely help the company outmatch Apple, which is a key player in the smartphone business based on sales and viability and has a routine of launching its products in September.
The iPhone 6 Plus was launched in September 2014 and it emerged best in terms of sales to the disadvantage of Samsung.
The iPhone 6 Plus has some similarities with the Galaxy Note 4, especially regarding the size of the screen, according to Forbes. In 2014, the Galaxy Note 4 launching came about a week earlier than Apple's launch of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus - a move that allowed the Galaxy Note 4 to dominate the market for some time after Apple's launches.
It is said that if Samsung releases the new Galaxy Note 5 in the middle of August, there will be a high chance that the company will avoid competition from the September launch of Apple's iPhone.
Also, the Galaxy Note 5 launch is likely to take place in a major city in the United States, according to The Wall Street Journal. Launching in the U.S. would be a change from tradition since the release of other Notes happened in Germany.
In other news, Samsung has announced that it would skip its second quarter financial forecast and the operating profit for the past two months will possibly decrease by 4 percent when reviewed per year.
Samsung will have the early release due to the poor forecast of consumer demand for the its S6 Edge gadget in 2014. The corporation had initially imagined that the Galaxy S6 would outsell the Galaxy S6 Edge by a ratio of 4 to 1, but the demand turned out to be the same, causing a major shortage.
