American talk show, "The View," faces some changes as Nicolle Wallace, their resident Republican has been fired by ABC.

Bosses at ABC were underwhelmed about Wallace's lack of dissent on political issues and lack of knowledge about celebrities, Variety reported. The talk show were undergoing some changes as Rosie Perez, another co-host announced that she will be leaving the show to pursue an acting career while Rosie O'Donnell has left earlier in the season, citing health concerns.

Wallace, who was championed by Bill Wolff, the executive producer of the show, was hired along with Perez at the start of last season. The Republican has also filled in as a pundit on ABC News covering the midterm elections but ABC producers reportedly found her commentary as too soft.

Wallace was absent at Wednesday's episode of "The View" as she was reportedly hurt by the network's decision to not renew her.

After the departure of Wallace, Perez and O'Donnell, the only permanent hosts for the 19th season will be Raven Symone, newly appointed host, comedian Michelle Collins and the show's moderator, Whoopi Goldberg. New hosts to fill in for the two left spots are yet to be announced.

Rumored to fill on those positions are "GMA Weekend" anchor, Paula Faris and Candace Cameron-Bure. The latter has reportedly impressed producers as a fill-in host by generating buzz from social media with her strong opinions.

"The View" has been having difficulties this year as they saw their ratings dropped 16 percent, compared to second quarter of last year. ABC bosses are considering changes for the 19th season of the TV show to be able to regain viewership ratings.

The American talkshow plans to include a slate of contributors that will appear sporadically at the series, to give the show insights from time to time. The ABC plans to include Wallace for the contributor position. Considered for the part-time positions are Molly Sims, Sherri Shepherd and Stacy London.

However, Wallace is yet to decide on accepting the offer or to leave the TV show completely.

Fans reacted on the changes that happened at the TV Show. "What is going on behind the scenes at 'The View?' Everyone ends up jumping ship!" one fan commented on TV Line. Another fan said that the show should be cancelled. There are some viewers who showed support for Wallace.

The 19th season of "The View" is slated to premiere in mid-September.
