President of United States, Barack Obama, has condemned the tainted comedian Bill Cosby's acts on July 15.

"If you give a woman - or a man, for that matter, without his or her knowledge - a drug, and then have sex with that person without consent, that's rape," said the President when he was asked during the White House press conference, if he will ever consider revoking the presidential medal of freedom given to Cosby, The Guardian reported.

The President's statement came at the time when it was revealed through the recently unsealed document pertaining to a 2006 lawsuit that the 77-year-old comedian had confessed during the trials that he used to procure Quaaludes to give it to women with whom he wanted to have sex.

Although President Obama declined to comment over the cases which are under the civil court, he made it a point to give a strong statement against rape and sexual allegations by saying that "any civilized country should have no tolerance for rape."

The question about Cosby was posed to the President in the wake of a petition filed by the sexual assault awareness group, Promoting Awareness Victim Empowerment, to revoke the prestigious medal that was awarded to the stand-up comedian in 2002 by then President George W. Bush, Daily Mail reported.

The petition has already garnered 89,000 signatures and the White House is likely to respond to it if it reaches 100,000 signatories. Since Nov. 2014, Cosby is facing a renewed set of allegations raised by close to 25 women, who have accused him of drugging and molesting.

Meanwhile, Joseph C. Phillips, who is known for playing Martin Kendall in NBC's long-running sitcom "The Cosby Show," has claimed in a blog post that Cosby is undoubtedly "guilty."

In a lengthy essay, the 53-year-old actor claimed that, though, earlier he used to idolize Cosby and strongly believed that he is being wrongly targeted, he later realized that the allegations raised on the comedian are true. The realization came when an unnamed woman confided in the actor and told him how she cursed Cosby for "violating both her trust and her body."
