With David Ayer's villainous film "Suicide Squad" coming to theaters in 2016, it has been reported that the director's take on Joker, will be different from his previous incarnations.

Jared Leto is playing the Clown Prince of Gotham and earlier photo teasers suggested that fans will see the supervillain shirtless, revealing his buff look along with his new tattoos. Moreover, Joker in "Suicide Squad" embodies a contemporary incarnation of the villain, in contrary to his theatrical incarnations in their tuxedos.

According to Cinema Blend, Heath Ledger, Jack Nicholson, Mark Hamill, and Cesar Romero had their unique renditions on Joker's vocal performance. While they had a bright approach and a deranged touch in delivering the lines of the Clown Prince, Leto's voice resembles a combination of laughter and pain.

In their respective takes of the Clown Prince, there were no notable variations in the hairstyles of Romero and Nicholson while Ledger wore a gristly and unwashed hairdo. In Ayer's "Suicide Squad," fans will see Leto as Joker in his hair, dyed with a bright green hue.

Leto was the perfect Joker due to several reasons, as per MTV. First is he gave his co-star Margot Robbie a rat as a present. Another reason is the way how he unveiled his character on Twitter one bit at a time. Third, he made Joker horrifying in the official "Suicide Squad" trailer, along with his maniac laugh and sinister grin.

Along with Leto, "Suicide Squad" stars Viola Davis, Common, Joel Kinnaman, Scott Eastwood, Jay Hernandez, Adawale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Adam Beach, Cara Delevingne, Karen Fukuhara, Jai Courtney, Will Smith, and Margot Robbie, among others.

Ayer's "Suicide Squad" is set premiere in theaters on Aug. 5, 2016. Watch the official "Suicide Squad" Comic-Con trailer here:
