Kumail Nanjian, a stand-up comedian and self-confessed fan of "The X-Files" is so proud to share the once of a lifetime opportunity that has come his way. He is set to act alongside the popular fictional FBI agents on television, Mulder and Scully in the show's highly anticipated revival.

Nanjian's obsession over "The X-Files" has come a long way that he has even come up with his own podcast show revolving around it.  The "Silicon Valley" actor revealed through several posts in his Twitter account of his inclusion in the show's huge comeback on air.

He tweeted that the episode he will be in has a wonderful script made by his favorite writer Darin Morgan. The Pakistani-American actor also disclosed how the two lead actors of the show, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson were kind in person.

Furthermore, the podcast host also mentioned his plans of sharing the conversations he got to swap with the lead actors in due time. He is hesitant at the moment of the potential poor quality of the recording.

The self-proclaimed fanatic of the sci-fi show once mentioned during his visit at the Conan O'Brien show how he once thought that all the stories featured in "The X-Files" are based on real life, USA Today's Entertain This reported.

Based on the photo the 37-year-old actor shared over the micro blogging site, it seems that Nanjiani will act the role of some kind of an officer due to his uniform costume. Specific details of the show's return kept under the covers still except for the announcement that aside from Mulder and Scully, the character of Walter Skinner played by Mitch Pileggi will also reappear., SlashFilm stated.

Other classic "X-Files" characters whose return are not yet confirmed but highly anticipated include that of the Cigarette Smoking Man plus agents John Doggett and Monica Reyes played by actors Robert Patrick and Annabeth Gish respectively.
