In "Chasing Life" season 2 episode 3, Brenna (Haley Ramm) finally showed up and reached her peak point after living in her sister's shadow during the duration of the series.
"Chasing Life" season 2 episode 2 was dedicated for the once defiant sister of April (Italia Ricci). During the episode, Brenna reached her boiling point with several emotional scenes that would make fans feel for her.
Brenna has faced her fair share of adversities with her sister diagnosed with cancer. Aside from losing Greer, her love interest, she also has been forced to attend public and leave her private school so that their mother can afford April's treatment , all while being the consummate sister.
Fans should feel for Brenna because even if April's promising life was ruined by her illness, her sister's life has also changed dramatically in the process. Brenna feels that her problem is not important because of April's condition and that she would instead contain her problem in to herself.
However, Brenna opened to one of her sisters which is Natalie (Jessica Meraz). April seemed to resent Natalie for being there with Brenna when she have a problem. Natalie then revealed to April that Brenna got pregnant which is their younger sister's big secret.
The eldest sister commented that she did not think that asking Natalie to look out for Brenna meant keeping huge secrets. For background, Natalie dated with Dominic (Richard Brancatisano), her eldest sister's ex-boyfriend but she had no clue that it was her sister's past relationship.
At the conclusion, Brenna seemed to have a change of heart towards her eldest sister when April treated Brenna's opinion as important and that she said to Brenna that both of them would decide whether to tell their mother about Brenna's secret. Also in the episode, Natalie opened a manuscript which belongs to their father.
According to the manuscript, their father viewed Natalie as simple, Brenna as the Band-Aid child and April as the golden child. But the three sisters decided that they would not want to keep secrets from each other instead of being angered by the manuscript
"Chasing Life" is a story about April, a smart and gifted aspiring Journalist who was trying to work her way up the ranks at a Boston newspaper but her life changed when she got news that she has leukemia. The next episode of "Chasing Life" season 2 titled "Truly Madly Deeply" will air on July 27 on ABC Family.
