Over the past few months, there have been reports and rumors about some new smartphones that will be worthy of choosing over the Google Nexus 6, if you're willing to wait.

Nexus 5 (2015) And Nexus 6 (2015)

According to NDTV Gadgets, the tech giant Google is going to deliver two Nexus smartphones this year. One being manufactured by the electronics manufacturer LG and the other being manufactured by the Chinese manufacturer Huawei.

According to leaks, LG is working on a new Nexus 5 (2015) that will be unlike any LG or Nexus phone to date. Various reports suggest that the smartphone will be powered by a 6-core processor and run Android M. The device will have a 5.2-inch screen and 3GB of RAM. The new 2015 Nexus 5 will have a new 13 or 16 megapixel camera.

Rumors also suggest that Nexus 5 2015 will have a new USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers, a fingerprint scanner and a 3D camera. Thus, the new Nexus 5 2015 could be a great smartphone to purchase instead of the Nexus 6.

On the other hand, rumors suggest that the Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) will be made of premium materials such as aluminum or metal and feature a 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD display. The device will be smaller than the Google Nexus 6. It will pack a 3,500 mAh battery, 4GB of RAM, an improved camera and powerful Snapdragon 810 or 820 8-core processor. This means that the new device will have a bigger battery, better build materials, be slightly smaller than the Nexus 6 and more efficient and powerful.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5

According to reports, the Galaxy Note 5 will deliver the same feel and look of the Samsung Galaxy S6. The upcoming device will have a powerful 8-core processor with 4GB of RAM, a 16 or better megapixel camera, an improved stylus and a big 5.7-inch Quad-Hd display. Also, the Galaxy Note 5 will include a microSD expansion slot, Tech Times reported. On the other hand, Google Nexus 6 has no microSD card slot for expandable storage. Rumors suggest that the Galaxy Note 5 will be launched near the end of August or early September.
