AMC's "The Walking Dead" season 6 will introduce several new cast members, namely, Merritt Wever, Ethany Embry and more.
According to Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Scott M. Gimple confirmed that "Nurse Jackie" star Wever will play the role of Denise Cloyd, a doctor residing in the Safe-Zone community in Alexandria. Embry, meanwhile, will play the role of Carter.
Meanwhile, a teaser for the upcoming season of "The Walking Dead" was recently released at the 2015 San Diego Comic Con. In the clip, it was shown that Carter will try to turn other residents of Alexandria against Rick (Andrew Lincoln) for all of the violence that has plagued their community.
In other news, "The Walking Dead" will also add actor Corey Hawkins into its pool of cast members. Hawkins will play the role of Heath, Glenn's good friend and one of the supply runners in Alexandria.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Gimple said that he is looking forward to seeing Hawkins on the show because he is terrific at what he does. He added that the actor is really fun in real life, but the minute the cameras start rolling, he gets into his character with so much ease.
Other new cast members for the upcoming "The Walking Dead" season 6 will include Alexandra Breckenridge as Jessie, Ross Marquand as Aaron, Seth Gilliam as Father Gabriel and more. As of late, it is still unclear which characters will survive throughout the entire season.
"The Walking Dead" season 6 will premiere on AMC on Oct. 11.
