The highly anticipated "Star Wars Battlefront," slated for a release on Nov. 17 as its new multiplayer feature is revealed.

The 10 versus 10 multiplayer mode "Blast" is more likely "Battlefront's" version of team death match, in which teams of Rebel and Imperial square off in matches that goes on for 10 minutes or until one team completes 100 kills.

"Blast offers a lot of variety both in terms of gameplay and the unpredictable nature of the opposing team. Actual levels within the mode also happen to hold great variation as well," read the official post from Electronic Arts.

The new mode will allow players to fight on planets including Endor, Hoth, Sullust and Tatooine, with maps not as large as in other modes. The mode will have weapons scattered throughout the map, with no vehicles or villain or hero characters.

The upcoming title "Star Wars Battlefront" is said to have received an "extremely strong pre-orders" response, though there was no specific numbers mentioned. Electronic Arts COO Peter Moore revealed that the game's pre-orders figure is extremely good so far. The developers more likely expect to see a tremendous response after the showcase of "Battlefront" at the GamesCon next week, which is said to be a pivotal moment for the game.

As for the launch schedule, Moore promised that there will be no delay in "Star Wars Battlefront" release. However, when there is an unforeseen problem, EA will push back the release, just like the "Battlefield: Hardline" expected to ship for last year's Christmas was delayed.

"Yes, because you can't ship it if it doesn't work or the quality level isn't right," Moore told The Market for Computer and Video Games.

"We would have no compunction, no hesitation whatsoever that if something was to go wrong with Star Wars Battlefront - if it wasn't right - we would just push it. But that's not going to happen," he added.

"Star Wars Battlefront" is all set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with the free expansion "The Battle of Jakku," on Nov 17. The free expansion is based on the upcoming J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" that is scheduled to release just weeks after.
