Several rumors suggest the possible release of Samsung Galaxy S6 mini on Aug. 13 as it has been a tradition for most smartphone manufacturers to have both big and small variants of their current flagship. Recent leaks also show images of the smartphone. 

In the current models of Samsung smartphones, the Galaxy S6 already had a dual curved screen option with the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge in addition to the rugged alternative with the Samsung Galaxy S6 active.

Live images that appeared online indicate that a smaller variant of the Galaxy S6 may be coming soon. An unknown tipster revealed a speculated live image of the Galaxy S6 mini, Phone Arena reported.

Although the case unveiled is similar to the design of the original Samsung Galaxy S6, the image does not reveal any other significant information, and the smartphone itself only indicated the power on display revealing the device model name - Samsung Galaxy S6 mini.

According to GSM Arena, an initial GFX Benchmark leak of the speculated Samsung Galaxy S6 mini has a model number SM-G9198. The expected Galaxy S6 mini will run on an Andreno 418 GPU and an 8-core Snapdragon 808 processor.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini will have a screen size of 4.6 inches and an HD resolution of 1280 ×768. Furthermore, it is rumored that the smartphone will be shipped with a 2GB RAM that serves to improve the performance of the new gadget.

More features about the Galaxy S6 mini include a 16MP rear camera that can record 1080p HD videos and 5MP front camera. The new phone will run on Android Lollipop 5.1.1, and the phone may be launched alongside S6 Edge Plus and Note 5 scheduled for Aug. 13.
