Nina Dobrev and the cast of “The Vampire Diaries” had a mini-reunion over the weekend for Kayla Ewell’s bachelorette party. It was said that when Ian Somerhalder’s wife Nikki Reed saw the photos, she got worried that the actress may be thinking of returning to The CW series.
Dobrev shared a photo of her with former "TVD" co-stars on her Instagram page. She shared that they all had a great time gossiping over wine in Ewell's bachelorette party. The actress also snapped another photo of the beautiful bride-to-be Ewell in her white gown.
In an interview with MTV, Candice Accola, who plays Caroline Forbes, hinted that Dobrev may reprise her role as Elena Gilbert in the coming episodes. She pointed out that Elena's departure was left open-ended, adding that the writers may opt to bring her back in anytime soon. The actress also praised the writers of "The Vampire Diaries" for continuously surprising the viewers.
On the other hand, Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore), teased that Elena is still actually on the series. He said that she is just "taking a nap." Michael Malarkey (Enzo) added that fans would still definitely feel Elena's presence come season 7.
Meanwhile, according to the International Business Times, Reed was not happy when she found out that Dobrev may be coming back to "The Vampire Diaries." Sources claimed that the "Twilight" actress was still jealous of Dobrev and Somerhalder's friendship.
When Dobrev posted the photo, Reed was worried that it would pave the way for more reunions for the "TVD" cast. In spite of Dobrev dating Austin Stowell, Reed was allegedly convinced that she still has feelings for Somerhalder.
