Jensen Ackles gave his response to the big question of whether John Winchester (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) could return in "Supernatural" season 11. He also talked about his experience in directing an episode in the upcoming new season of The CW series.

Morgan admitted in an interview with TVLine that he would love come back to "Supernatural" as John Winchester, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean's (Ackles) dad. As Morgan revealed, there is no official talk yet but he is always in contact with his on-screen sons, Jared and Jensen, because they are very good friends.

When asked if the "Supernatural" family already talked about John Winchester's return, Ackles responded that Morgan's availability must work organically with the show's writers and they can find a way to bring John Winchester back where it makes sense. Ackles is certain that the writers and Morgan would love to do that.

However, Ackles declared during the Popsugar interview at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con that there is no promise of John Winchester's return anytime in the near future. In the upcoming "Supernatural" Season 11, Jensen Ackles was given once again the opportunity to direct the episode assigned to him.

According to the "Supernatural" actor and director, having a communication with the SPN fans inspires him to carry out certain things with characters or storylines. Ackles, 37, described that the "Supernatural" fans are an amazing resource to have around.

Ackles further teased in the interview that the fans will be seeing a straightforward and expositional premiere episode of "Supernatural" season 11. There will be a lot of progress when it comes to the show's new mythology called "The Darkness," more information on the new big bad villain and how the Winchester brothers are going to deal with the situation after the Darkness got released in the finale episode of "Supernatural" season 10.

"Supernatural" season 11 premieres on Oct. 7, at 9/8c on The CW network.
