"True Detective" airs its highly anticipated finale on Aug. 9, 2015 revealing the real killer in Ben Caspere's murder case. The Episode 8 is titled "Omega Station" and it's expected to conclude the murder mystery being investigated by Rachel McAdams' Ani Bezzerides, Colin Farrell's Ray Velcoro and Taylor Kitsch' Paul Woodrugh, who died after being shot multiple times in the Episode 7. The final segment of the eight-part season of "True Detective" will see Ani and Ray deal with their partner Paul's untimely demise and continue their search for the real killer of the city manager. At the same time, they might go after Paul's killer, in order to bring their friend justice.

According to TV Guide's description of "True Detective" Season 2 Episode 8, Frank, Ray and Ani devise a plan to achieve their goals. Ray and Ani are expected to unmask Caspere's killer and unveil the corrupt in the city office.

A promo video for "True Detective" Season 2 teases the events of the 90-minute finale. Fans can expect to see an action-packed episode as Vince Vaughn's Frank Seymon and Ray team-up for "justice and revenge." Scroll down to watch the video.

In an interview with reporters at the Television Critics Association, president of HBO programming Michael Lombardo teased a "satisfying" end to "True Detective" Season 2.

"I think you need to watch the entirety of it," Lombardo said (via TV Guide). "The show ends as satisfyingly as any show I've seen."

Meanwhile, in an interview with Variety, Taylor Kitsch suggests that the conclusion of the story is "phenomenal."

"I will say it's beautifully, beautifully done, and I tip my hat to all those actors and to Nic and the writing. It's really phenomenal what goes down," the actor told the abovementioned publication.
