"Divergent" actor Miles Teller has revealed the reason why their costume in Josh Trank's "Fantastic Four" is different from the comics.

Teller is playing the role of Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in Trank's "Fantastic Four." In his interview with Cinema Blend along with his co-stars, Teller said that most parts of the film did not suggest that having a team costume was logical. The "Divergent" actor added that wearing bright blue costumes, just like in the comics, would not help coincide with the dark tone of Trank's superhero film.

In line with the dark tone of the film, previous trailers presented the superhero team in suits with colors black, gray, and silver, which received criticisms from fans, as per Comic Book. While the big family will not be seen in bright blue costumes in Trank's "Fantastic Four," it is assumed that the titular superhero team will don the comic book-based suits in the upcoming "Fantastic Four" sequel.

After its release on Aug. 7, Trank's "Fantastic Four" has grossed an estimated $26 million nationwide and an estimated $34 million in its other market areas, for a total of an estimated $60 million in a global scale.

Along with Teller as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, "Fantastic Four" also stars Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm/The Thing, Kate Mara as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, , and Toby Kebbell as the villain Victor Doom, among others.

Trank's "Fantastic Four" is showing in theaters while the sequel is slated to premiere in theaters on June 9, 2017.
