With Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" hitting the big screen next year, Superman himself, Henry Cavill, has talked about the future of the DC Cinematic Universe.

In his interview with Uproxx, Cavill explained that Warner Bros. has a large disposition for DC's Cinematic Universe in the upcoming years. The actor said that the studio was focusing on a "big tent pole" encompassing its films. While each film has its distinctive story, the films in the DC Cinematic Universe are interconnected to a single principal matter.

Parallel to DC's Cinematic Universe, Marvel's Cinematic Universe also ties up its superhero films into one major issue, which is to face the supreme anti-villain to the superheroes, the Mad Titan himself, Thanos. According to Cinema Blend, the events in previous Marvel's films will walk the path towards Joe Russo and Anthony Russo's duology-film "Avengers: Infinity Wars" in 2018 and 2019.

Aside from Snyder's "Man of Steel," Cavill is also known for his roles in Tarsem Singh's action-fantasy "Immortals." Following "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," Cavill is also set to appear in Snyder's "The Justice League Part One" in 2017 and "Justice League Part Two" in 2019.

Along with Cavill as the Man of Steel, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" stars Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, among others.

Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is set to premiere in theaters on Mar. 25, 2016.
