Microsoft Surface Pro 4 to counter 12-inch iPad Pro
There are strong rumors that Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release may happen on Oct. 4, packed with some killer specs over its predecessor.

According to BGR, the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release date is rumored to be on Oct. 4 with a price tag of $1,700, which is much higher than Microsoft Surface Pro 3 that costs $1,149.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 sported a 12-inch screen and a resolution of 2160 x 1440, with dimensions of 11.5 x 7.9 x 0.36. It also sported a battery life of 9 consecutive hours, with its 4th gen Intel core processor.
On the other hand, Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is rumored to sport models in two sizes, one will be 12 inches and the other will be 14 inches. Both the variants will sport the same screen resolution, and a battery life of 17 consecutive hours. The bigger device is said to be launched with an intention to go head on with Apple iPad Pro, according to iDigital Times.
Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is also expected to be equipped with Intel Core Broad Well CPU and an i5 or an i5 core processor. On the dimensions front, Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is expected to be much sleeker than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is also rumored to be a highly ventilated device. This will really help people who work long hours on their laptops, as heat emission will be minimal. Its other USP is its potential to replace the need of laptops and tablets, providing the purpose of both in itself.
