Atlanta's radio show "Rock Mornings on Rock 100.5 With Jason Bailey' host Southside Steve has apologized for his controversial comments on "Fantastic Four" actress Kate Mara on her pixie hairstyle and toes, which were deemed sexist.

Steve told Hollywood Life that he wants to apologize that Mara misunderstood him and she thought she was being sexist. He added that he did not have enough time for his personality to come across in a five-minute interview.

"I just loved her long hair and it was a shock that she cut 22 plus inches off," Steve explained adding that there was awkwardness in the room during the interview when "Fantastic Four" star Michael B. Jordan's phone rang and Mara jokingly asked, "Is it Snoop Dogg?"

Steve said that it was one of Jordan's friends who called so at that point, he thought it was safe to whisper to Mara saying he still thinks she is really hot with her short hair and she has "great toes." For the radio show host, tt was a way to have a normal moment with the "Fantastic Four" actress her and that was not even going to be part of the interview.

According to Steve, he did not mean to offend Mara and that he was just trying to have a little fun, considering that the "Fantastic Four" stars appeared to be exhausted from their press day at the time and his interview was one of the last ones.

Five days after the release of "Fantastic Four," Mara was spotted in Los Angeles wearing a denim jacket and Vans shoes while carrying a London Heart bkr water bottle as she was heading to the to the gym with a friend, Just Jared reported.
