With many unions in the Hollywood spotlight falling apart, actor Matt Damon is one of the few to be looking forward to celebrating his 10th wedding anniversary with wife Luciano Barroso as he recently opened up about his happy marriage.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actor, 44, told the host if there actually existed a secret to being together he would put it down to being able to "feel lucky."

At the same time, Damon admitted that he thought marriage is "insane" and perhaps to some a "crazy idea" but to him, he loves being married to his wife. He also admitted that every relationship has its share of troubles and that there is no formula to make a marriage work perfectly.

The actor said that much of life's situations are out of "your hands" and said having spoken to his father about the same issues admits that it is by "God's grace" that marriages last and admitted that it is very rare to be in a situation of being in love and happy and he puts it down to "luck."

During the conversation, Damon touched on another relationship - that of his friendship with Ben Affleck who is currently navigating through a divorce and admitted that he is keeping well.

According to People, Damon has been very supportive of Affleck through the years and especially now with his split from ex-wife Jenifer Garner. The duo has been good friends for close to 30 years.

"The Martian" actor said he missed meeting up with Affleck owing to him travelling up and down to see his three children but says he is doing fine.

According to the publication, Damon and Affleck have shared a bond since the two began their careers in Hollywood and that few know the "Batman Vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice" star better than Damon.
