Several reports have claimed that tech giant Microsoft is planning for a major launch of several devices in October. Among the reported lineup of devices scheduled to be unveiled will be two new Lumia smartphone, the Microsoft Band 2 and the Surface Pro 4 tablet.

According to NDTV, Microsoft is ditching its plans to unveil its newest devices at the IFA 2015 in September in Berlin. Rather than joining the conference, the tech giant decided to organize a media event in October and make it as the official stage to unveil its newest devices.

Rumors about the two Lumia smartphones have been steadily growing in the past few months. The Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL is believed to be the company's flagship device that will run on the Windows 10 operating system.

Rumors claim that the Lumia 950 sports a 5.2-inch display with a 1440 x 2560 resolution. At its heart is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset backed by 3GB of internal memory. Additional specs is believed to include 32GB storage space with microSD support for expansion. A 20-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel front facing secondary camera.

The Lumia 950 XL has 5.7-inch QWHD display and the rest of its specs is relatively the same as the Lumia 950.

According to The Verge, the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will not sport any major design change. The company promised that it plans to keep the similar charging mechanism and the same form factor aimed for businesses that invested in devices such as the docking station.

Microsoft is rumored to upgrade the Surface's display size as well as improve its resolution. There are speculations claiming that the Surface Pro 4 will be thinner and lighter compared to its predecessor.

Of all the rumored devices from Microsoft, not much is known about the Band 2 apart from the rumored October release. However, many tech analysts believe that Microsoft is working on features that the previous model lacks.
