With the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" beta already live for PS4 players, developer Treyarch has been rolling out some new content with new mode and maps, all of which are already introduced into the beta.

For the beta, the developer has raised the level cap that players can reach to level 34. Reaching this allows the player to attain the level of Major and access the newest Specialist, the Reaper, Charlie Intel reported. Apart from reaching the highest attainable level cap so far in the beta, there's also another initiative to attain with the new additions.

Reaching the level cap will reap new unlockables. These include the VMP SMG, the Power Core scorestreak and the H.A.T.R. scorestreak.

Meanwhile, the new map called Stronghold and the new mode titled Uplink are already out in the game. In total, there are now four playable maps for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" beta.

Activision has also announced a new specialist that is already available on the PS4 beta. Dubbed as the experimental war robot or EWR, the new specialist is a survivor of what would have been a cutting-edge program gone wrong, Forbes reported.

As far as capabilities are concerned, it wields as scythe and mini-gun for an arm. It also has a special move wherein it can tap into DNI systems and basically simulate up to three decoy clones.

So far, only the PS4 players will have access to "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" beta. This will be available until Aug. 23. Come Aug. 26, Xbox One and PC users will get their hands on the game for five days, until Aug. 30. Sadly, despite the game releasing on both next-gen and current-gen consoles of the PlayStation and Xbox, the PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms are not included in the beta experience.
