Sting and Trudie Styler's oldest daughter Mickey Sumner is disappointed to not have any scenes with "Game For Motel Room" actress Lucy Owens in "The Mend," John Magary's comedy drama set to be released on Aug. 21.

In a recent interview with The Mary Sue, Sumner said she and Owens have talked to Magary telling the director that she has to make a film about the girlfriends and give them scenes together because she thinks that would be very interesting to see them together.

"But it was disappointing not to work together because we've become really good friends since making the movie," Sumner said. "So let's hope for a 'The Mend 2.'"

The central relationship of "The Mend" is about two brothers played by Josh Lucas and Stephen Plunkett with the girlfriend characters played by Sumner and Owens.

Sumner pointed out that it is not common for her get a girlfriend role that is not merely "a function for the men." In "The Mend," she is only in about a third of the film and she is not in its middle.

When asked if she was surprised by the kind of trouble the brothers in "The Mend" get into when left to their own devices, Sumner pointed out that he has three brothers and grew up with many guy friends.

What Sumner liked about watching "The Mend" for the first time, she said, there is still something about the brothers played by Lucas and Plunkett that is very human and lovable about their confusion even when they become disgusting.

Meanwhile, Sumner's father Sting is set to perform for a special benefit show at Carnegie Hall in New York City with the Orchestra of St. Luke's  in December, Classic Hits and Oldies reported.

On the other hand, Owens is set to star in Alvin Case's sci-fi movie "Game For Motel Room" with Pierre Perrier, Nat Freedberg, Suzana Mihajlica and Wayne Viens, among others.
