Consumers can expect Microsoft Surface Pro 4 to be more powerful thanks to its rumored hardware features composed of Intel Skylake processor, 1TB SSD and 16GB of RAM.

The next generation of Microsoft Surface Pro tablet is reported to be powered no less than Intel Core i-series "Skylake-U" chipset. The new chipset dubbed as Skylake is the first big update since Haswell as it is the "tock" of Intel's tick-tock update policy. The new Skylake processors come with DDR4 support. This latest version of dynamic RAM is not only more secure, but it is also faster and runs cooler, which is a great advantage for Microsoft Surface Pro 4.

According to Jdgod website, the new chipset will come with up to 15W thermal design power and tangibly improved integrated graphics processor. The new system will also feature new-generation 128GB, 256GB, 512GB or 1TB solid-state storage devices and up to 16GB of dual-channel LPDDR3 memory.

Other rumored features of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 are: 12-inch screen with 4K pixel resolution, stylus, and USB Type-C port. Other rumored features are keyboard accessory, Type Cover 3 and Docking Station. Other purported features of the tablet are 16GB RAM and up to 1TB internal storage.

According to reports, Microsoft Surface Pro 4 price is expected to be lower than Surface Pro 3 despite all of the upgraded and expensive features of the laptop-tablet hybrid. This assumption was based on the hefty discounts on Surface Pro 3 all year round.
