"Game Of Thrones" season 6 will not be shot in Croatia. HBO has confirmed recently that due to demand of the script of the upcoming season, the show series has dropped the country from its location list.

"The question of whether the production will return to Croatia in the future will be decided once additional seasons are officially set by HBO," said a spokesman of the network before further adding that if the new seasons are announced, then also, the script demand will decide whether the crew will return to Croatia or not for the shooting, Huffington Post reported.

The news has created ripples among the fans since several locations of the country were known to be the integral part of the show since its inception, be it  the city of Dubrovnik which served as King's Landing or the village of Klis which became popular as the city of Meeren.

It is still not clear how the show will be carried forward without the scenes of King's Landing. Fans are presuming that either the development undoubtedly implies that King's Landing, and as a result, Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) and King Tommen Baratheon, are expected to play a reduced role in the upcoming season.

With the  distressing rape of Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and presumed death of Jon Snow (Kit Harington), "Game Of Thrones" season 5 has left the fans with a cruel cliffhanger. The spoiler for season 6 indicates that the show will focus on the North, especially the stories of the surviving Stark children, Sansa, Arya, Bran, and Rickon.

Director Jeremy Podeswa has declared recently during an interview with Deadline that the show will start on a exciting note and  "there's not a lot of laying pipe or laying track."
