Sony recently announced the list of free PlayStation Plus games the company will release for the month of September. The list of chosen games was based on the Vote to Play campaign launched by Sony in order to know what games its users wants for free.

According to PC Mag, the free games will be released to PlayStation Plus members starting Sept. 1. Sony Computer Entertainment America social media specialist Ryan Clements posted on Sony's official blog, "Thanks to our Vote to Play campaign - which gave you the ability to vote on a game for our September Plus offering - we're delighted to reveal your selection and the first title in next month's free games lineup: Grow Home on PS4."

"Grow Home" is a game about a botanical utility droid that is travelling around stars searching for new species of flora in order to save his home planet.

The September lineup of free PlayStation games include "Super Time Force" for the PlayStation 4. "Xeodrifter" for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita. "Twisted Metal" for the PlayStation 3. "Teslagrad" for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. Finally, "La Mulana EX" for the PlayStation Vita.

All the games mentioned are free to be downloaded by PlayStation Plus members for the whole month of September.

Following the recently announced free games, the following titles will cease to be free for PlayStation Plus users starting Sept. 1; "Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris," "Limbo," "God of War Ascension," "Flow," "Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones," "Castlestorm Complete Edition," "Sound Shapes" and "Flower."

Sony PlayStation rival, the Microsoft Xbox, has yet to unveil its set of free games for the month of September.
