The storyline of "The Originals" Season 3 will not only focus on the Mikaelson family but also on the other characters like the powerful witch Vincent Griffith. "The Originals" cast member Yusuf Gatewood has shared in an interview what's in store for his character Vincent in the upcoming new season of the CW TV series.

Gatewood teased in an interview with Buddy TV at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con that his role in "The Originals" Season 3 will somewhat be a mentor to Davina Claire (Danielle Campbell), the newly appointed Regent. "But whether or not his voice is going to be heard by Davina at this point remains to be seen," Gatewood said in the Buddy TV interview.

In "The Originals" Season 2, Vincent Griffith turned down the responsibility of being the leader of the witch community. Vincent convinced Davina, a Harvest Witch and former member of the French Quarter Coven, to be the new Regent of the New Orleans Witch Community.

Vincent has also vowed in the previous season that he will no longer practice magic. However, Gatewood teased in the interview that the fans will still see some of Vincent's witch knowledge while dealing with the interesting challenges thrown at him in "The Originals" Season 3.

Gatewood has also portrayed the Original family member Finn Mikaelson in the first half of "The Originals" Season 2. E! News has confirmed that Casper Zafer will return as Finn Mikaelson through flashback scenes in "The Originals" Season 3 but it would be interesting if Finn meets Vincent, the body that he possessed after getting resurrected in the finale episode of "The Originals" Season 1.

Aside from Zafer, Claire Holt and Nathaniel Buzolic will also reprise the roles of Original vampires Rebekah and Kol Mikaelson in the flashback scenes of the CW TV series. "It means a lot that they all still want to come back. We have had so many great actors that you will see again in flashbacks in the first episode," executive producer Michael Narducci told E!News.

"The Originals" Season 3 premieres on Wednesday night, Oct. 8, at 9/8c on the CW Network.
