FX aired a high-on-action episode of season 2 of "Tyrant" on Aug. 25, Tuesday. The episode, titled "Desert Storm," showcased the battle between caliphates and Khalil along with the planning of Leila (Moran Atias) and Molly (Jennifer Finnigan) to dethrone Jamal (Ashraf Bahrom).

The episode 11, which also featured Rami (Keon Alexander), Barry (Adam Rayner) and Ahmed (Cameron Gharee), began with a war between Khalil and Ihab (Alexander Karim) wherein he takes the advantage of Omar's absence to make a deal with the insurgents that if they traded Khalil, he will allow the rest of them to live peacefully.

However, the insurgents refused to accept such an offer and decide to stand by their leader who is their only hope of a victory.

Meanwhile, Molly tells Jamal that his brother is alive who refuses to accept the truth and suspects that she is scheming with Rami. She later confronts Leila and confides in her that Barry is alive, after which the two ladies come up with a plan to free Rami and let him rejoin the fight against Caliphate. When the battle is over, the plan was to use the army to overthrow Jamal.

Barry was almost losing the battle against Ihab when Rami arrived and together they form a good team. The two eventually reclaimed Ma'an after which Barry sets up a medical camp to cure the injured ones.

Ihab gets removed from his own people and is locked in a cell.

Leila confides in Ahmed about her plan to dethrone his father. At first, Ahmed is reluctant to betray his own father, but agrees to it after much convincing from his mother. He knows that his father will not survive the plan and his uncle is acting in the best interest of the state.
