The developer for the upcoming "Minecraft: Story Mode" has been on top of its game when it comes to creating narratives for games. With this new title, Telltale Games will put forward the stories of Jesse and his friends who are on a quest to find the Order and save the video game universe.
In an interview with The Verge, Telltale Games revealed some new details about "Minecraft: Story Mode." Each of the character in the game will have a different background and personality, all of which will evolve around the tone of 80s flicks.
Minecraft: Story Mode" will follow in the footsteps of Telltale Games' previous titles like "The Walking Dead" and "Game of Thrones," which make use of decisions and choices in progressing the story.
"We know what it's like to craft, to hunt, to build, to survive and to play with friends and grow a community," said Job Stauffer, Telltale Games director of creative communications. "But imagining those ideas as happening through living characters in conversations-friends trying to stick together, aspiring to do something legendary, or simply trying to have fun building something together-it becomes a completely different way of experiencing everything you've already done in this universe, or perhaps even things you have yet to do."
Attendees of the PAX Prime will have a chance to play the beta of "Minecraft: Story Mode." Developer Telltale Games will be going to the gaming event in Seattle to show off the beta for the first time to the public, as announced via its official blog.
"This is the first time anyone outside of Telltale and Mojang will get to play part of the season premiere, and the first time we're showing the game outside of the initial trailer that debuted at Minecon several weeks back," said the developer.
As an add-on, hardcore fans can enjoy "Minecraft: Story Mode" shirts as giveaways for those who will play the beta. Supplies are limited, but there are four different designs that fans can choose from throughout the gaming event.
