A new Speedster will join the cast of "The Flash" season 2 and the role of Jesse Quick will be played by actress Violett Beane.
According to TV Line, Quick is a brilliant and quirky college student who will be caught in between The Flash and Zoom's issues. The characters' parents are both superheroes.
Other than Quick, "The Flash" season 2 will also introduce new Speedster Wally West, to be played by actor Keiynan Lonsdale. As of late, the role of Zoom has not yet been cast.
Meanwhile, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg recently explained why he decided to tap Lonsdale for the role of Wally, according to Deadline.
"Just like when we met star Grant Gustin for the first time, we instantly knew Keiynan embodied all the heart and courage of a hero. We are so excited to be bringing this much-beloved character onto the show," he said.
In other news, fans can also expect a sterner Professor Zoom in the upcoming season of the hit The CW series.
According to executive producer Gabriel Stanton, Professor Zoom will become a much bigger threat than the Reverse-Flash.
"Zoom is going to be very different in terms of motivation, in terms of what he wants from The Flash, in terms of why he's doing what he's doing. I know a lot of people are thinking, 'Zoom and Reverse Flash were so similar in the comics. What's going to make them different?' I guarantee no one will confuse him for one second with what we did last year," he said.
"The Flash" season 2 will premiere on The CW this fall.
