Microsoft will reportedly launch the new Lumia 950 XL Cityman this year and some tech experts believe that the latest smartphone will become the closest possible rival of Apple's iPhone 6.

According to Gazette Review, Cityman is destined to become the most "future-proof" smartphone because of its powerful features and specifications.

Operating System and Processor

The new Lumia 950 smartphone will reportedly possess the Windows 10 Mobile operating system, a feature that could possibly match iPhone's own mobile operating system, the iOS.

Concerning the new smartphone's power, Cityman will have a stronger core because it will be operated by Snapdragon 810 with a 64-bit octa-core, which is capable of providing better speed to one's device. On the other hand, iPhone is being operated by a weaker 1.4GHz dual-core processor.

Battery Life and Screen Display

In terms of usage, the Microsoft smartphone boasts a battery of 3300 mAH while iPhone's battery is only capable of 1810 mAh. This fact will make Cityman a better choice if a user wants a smartphone that could be used for longer periods.

In addition, the Cityman has an edge over iPhone 6 in terms of screen display. The Microsoft product has a 5.7-inch display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 ppi while iPhone 6 only has a 4.7-inch display with a smaller screen resolution of 1334 x 750 ppi. Overall, Cityman has a larger and better screen display compared to the Apple product.

Camera Features and Storage Capacity

In terms of camera features, Cityman edges iPhone 6 by a wide margin. Cityman will have a 20-megapixel rear camera with triple LED flash technology, capable of shooting 1080p video with ease. Meanwhile, iPhone 6 only has a plain 8-megapixel rear camera.

Lastly, Cityman is also the better option if a user wants a large internal storage because it allows a microSD memory card that would expand the space to a maximum of 128GB as oppose to iPhone's internal memory.

The facts presented by tech experts would clearly make Microsoft's Lumia 950 Cityman a close rival to Apple's iPhone 6.

Another Lumia For Release

Rumors also claimed that Microsoft will also launch Lumia 950 Talkman. According to The Verge, Talkman will be powered by a Snapdragon 808 with a 64-bit hexa-core while having a 3000 mAH removable battery. In addition, the smartphone's ability to shoot photos is also respectable with its 20-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front snapper.

The Lumia series was first introduced in 2011 by the combined powers of Microsoft and Nokia. However, the deal between the two companies expired on April 2014, making Microsoft the sole producer of the smartphone series.

Lumia 950 XL Cityman and Lumia 950 Talkman are expected to be officially announced on Microsoft's October event.
