"Fantastic Four" star Michael B. Jordan is reported to star in a comic book-inspired vampire comedy film "Blood Brothers."

Jordan is in negotiations to play one of the two lead roles in the upcoming film, as per The Tracking Board. The "Fantastic Four" actor will play a character named Tree, who is an "edgy two-hander." The other lead character is named Nick, but the actor who will play the role is unknown at this point.

"Men In Black 3" writer Etan Cohen is on board to pen the screen play. "Jurassic World" director Colin Trevorrow and "Jurassic World" writer Derek Connolly gave their shot before Cohen nabbed the pen as the film's scriptwriter. Meanwhile, "The Mask" and "Hellboy" producer Mike Richardson is set to co-produce the film, along with Keith Goldbef, Matt Dines, Adam Rosenberg, and Jonathan Glickman.

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer is set to distribute the film. At the moment, the studio is in search for a new writer and director who will set the film with a kind of tone parallel to "Lethal Weapon," "48 Hours," and "Men in Black." This indicates that the film will not feature typical superhero grounds, as per Cinema Blend.

"Bloody Brothers" centers on vampire best friends Tree and Nick, who have been in each other's pocket for more than a thousand years. A mid-life crisis poses a threat to end their togetherness; however, a power-crazy villain rises to exterminate humans and this pushes the best friends to work side by side to save the world.

Since the feature is currently in its early phase of development, exact details on plot twists, character and cast, and release date are yet to be revealed.

Meanwhile, Jordan is set to appear in Ryan Coogler's sports drama "Creed," which hits theaters on Nov. 25 and he will reprise his role as Human Torch in Marvel's "Fantastic Four" on June 9, 2017.
