The Dallas Cowboys have dealt with the loss of star running back DeMarco Murray by adding a plethora of first round talents, but that does not mean they are opposed to adding another player into the fold to make the position all the more secure. After all, they lost a player who literally led the league in rushing yards the previous season. It's going to be hard to replicate the numbers they achieved last year.

With Joseph Randle and Darren McFadden leading the charge when it comes to ball handling duties, the Cowboys know they are going to get some work in. But is it enough?

The Cowboys themselves aren't sold on Randle, at least not at this point.

ESPN staff writer Jean-Jacques Taylor wrote that "That's why there's feeling around the club's Valley Ranch training complex that if they get to training camp and none of the team's runners distinguish themselves, it wouldn't surprising for the Cowboys to make a move."

Both Randle and McFadden have been eyeing the Cowboys starting position for some time now, and unless the Cowboys make some sort of drastic move, it looks like one of them is going to get it. Still, at this point neither of them are going to replace what Murray offered to the table and it could affect them for the season.

If the Cowboys are shopping for a new running back, there aren't too many options out there.

Aside from several leftover free agents, Adrian Peterson remains one person that is on the top of the Dallas Cowboys wish list. Over the previous summer the team worked to get Peterson in Texas, but ultimately that did not work out. If ever an opening comes up again, expect the Cowboys to make a push for him.

Until they sign or trade for somebody else, expect the Dallas Cowboys to be watching whenever a RB gets cut in the near future.
