Michelle Obama took to Twitter to greet Beyonce Knowles on her 34th birthday. The First Lady of the United States of America also thanked the "Drunk In Love" singer for being a good example to young girls not only in the U.S. but across the globe.

"Happy birthday to the one and only, Queen! Thank you for being a role model for young girls around the world, @Beyoncé. -mo," Obama tweeted on Sept. 4, Friday.

During Knowles' birthday, her husband Jay Z Carter, 45, was spotted heading to a restaurant in Philadelphia with their daughter Blue Ivy Carter, 3. Jay Z was in his trademark Timberland boots, a camouflage print t-shirt and a pair of jeans while Blue Ivy in a black romper with chic white cape and pumps, according to Daily Mail.

Knowles and Carter were married on April 4, 2008 without publicity. On Jan. 7, 2012, Knowles gave birth to Blue Ivy at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. The former Destiny's Child has won 15 Grammy awards.

In a book by showbiz expert Anna Pointer, some details about Knowles' life that her fans did not know were revealed. Titled "Beyonce: Running The World: The Biography," the book revealed that the "7/11" singer was bullied when she was young.

Growing up in Houston, Texas, Knowles was teased about her ears, which she said were bigger than her head, and was nicknamed Dumbo. She was also teased because of her name, which derives from her mother Tina Knowles' maiden name, Beyince, Express has learned.
