Red Devils plan a £100M Bundesliga plunder in January: That's right, van Gaal is preparing a purchase that will cost up to £100 million next year to acquire two superstars in the German league.

Of course, the names are familiar: Marco Reus and Thomas Müller. It is now up to Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich whether they will accept the mega-deals or not. While the intention is true, it is most likely that van Gaal will only get one or two of the aforementioned players and not both. Verdict: Fact.

United targets winger Ezequiel Lavezzi when his contract with PSG ends next year: The Old Trafford giants are not the only ones linked with the Argentina international at season's end. English rivals Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly also interested.

While Lavezzi would be a reliable addition to van Gaal's squad, the 30-year-old Argentinian is not a priority. Perhaps if Reus and Müller are no longer available and he still is. Verdict: Fiction.

Lazio's Felipe Anderson also a target for van Gaal: It was rumored that after the Red Devils missed on Spanish forward Pedro during the summer, van Gaal was eyeing the Italian club's 22-year-old attacking midfielder ever since.

The 63-year-old manager will make a bid for the Brazil international in January for sure. Verdict: Fact.
