It is rumored that iPhone 7 will be an extremely light device as per leaked images of the casing by the Japanese Engadget. The upcoming iPhone 7 is expected to be 0.2 mm thicker than iPhone 6, as the company wanted to embed an additional chip for the Force Touch technology.

This will allow the users to get an enhanced experience as the device will be equipped with high quality pressure and grip sensors. This technology did force Apple to make some drastic changes in the overall design of this iPhone. Initially Apple wanted to make this device even thinner than 6mm. The device is also rumored to be bezel free, for a better screen preview.

According to 9to5 Mac, the upcoming iPhone is expected to have the latest Qualcomm LTE chip, which will drastically increase the efficiency of the device.

Rounding up the specs, iPhone 7 is expected to come in three variants. The first device will be a conventional 4.7-inch long iPhone. The second device will feature a screen size of 5.5 inches, while the third device will sport a screen size of 4-inches. They are rumored to be called as iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and iPhone 7C respectively.

However, if Apple decides to go ahead with their "6S" series naming convention then the new devices are expected to be named as iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus and iPhone 6C.

The prices will also be revealed at the Apple media event.
