Another film has been added to "X-Men" actor Michael Fassbender's busy schedule.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fassbender is in negotiations to star in Tomas Alfredson's crime drama project "The Snowman." Fassbender is set to play the role of Detective Harry Hole, who inspects the loss of a woman whose scarf is seen swathed around an intimidating snowman. Set in Norway, the film sees Hole find the path to a serial killer.

Engaging with Alfredson's upcoming drama film is an advantage for Fassbender, as per Cinema Blend. Should the "X-Men" actor opt to sign in on the film for the role, he could film a new franchise while he has free time in between his other films like Danny Boyle's biopic "Steve Jobs" and Justin Kurzel's video game-based action adventure film "Assassin's Creed."

Aside from playing the roles of Apple CEO Jobs and the assassin Callum Lynch, Fassbender is set to reprise his role as Erik Lenscherr, also known as the metal-controlling mutant Magneto in Bryan Singer's upcoming Marvel Comics film "X-Men: Apocalypse."

Fassbender is also set to appear in Adam Smith's action crime "Trespass Against Us," Derek Cianfrance's drama film "The Light Between Oceans," Ridley Scott's sci-fi thriller "Prometheus 2," and an upcoming Terrence Malik project.

Known for his comedy film "Four Shades of Brown," horror drama "Let the Right One In," and mystery thriller film "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy," Alfredson is set to helm the film. Matthew Michael Carnahan, who wrote the script for Peter Berg's "The Kingdom," Kevin Macdonald's "State of Play," and Marc Forster's "World War Z," is on board to pen the screenplay of the film.

Since Alfredson's "The Snowman" is in its early phase of development, exact details on the characters and cast, the plot, and release date are yet to be revealed.

Meanwhile, Boyle's "Steve Jobs" hits theaters on Oct. 9, while Kurzel's "Assassin's Creed" is set to premiere on Dec. 21, 2016. Then, Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse" will show up in theaters on May 27, 2016.
