FX will premiere the two-hour pilot episode of its new show "The Bastard Executioner" on Sept. 15, Tuesday at 10 pm.

The show is created by Kurt Sutter, who is known as the impolitic creator of FX's "Sons Of Anarchy." It will tell the tale of Wilkin Brattle, who is a warrior for King Edward I of England and later assumes the identity of a journeyman-executioner at the behest of Annora, a mystical healer.

The show features newcomer Lee Jones in the role of Brattle along with Sutter's wife Katey Sagal, who is best known for playing the sprayed-on-leather matriarch of the outlaw biker club in the recently concluded "Sons Of Anarchy." She will be playing the role of the healer with Slavic accent who will aid Brattle in his quest.

The show's cast also includes Sam Spruell, who will play the role of the Brattle's best friend Toran, "Penny Dreadful" star Danny Sapani in the role of Berber, who is a Moor converted forcibly to Christianity. Brian F. O'Byrne and Flora Spencer-Longhurst will play the role of English baron Erik Ventris and his lady Ventris respectively, Yahoo News reported.

The pilot episode will begin with Brattle in the middle of a battle when he gets the vision of a holy messenger, who bids him to lay down his sword after which he will be seen transformed into a simple Welsh villager at the dawn of the 14th century.

Meanwhile, the country is ruled by Baron Ventris, who along with his right-hand man Milus Corbett (Stephen Moyer), levies unfair tax and represses the common Welshman when Brattle, along with other members of his tribe, decide to unit to end the brutalities, New York Times reported.
