Except for the deep male voice, Caitlyn Jenner could pass for a woman, thanks to several medical procedures that the former Olympian underwent in her gender shift.
The New York Post reports that Caitlyn wants to make that transition complete by filing a petition with the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday that she be officially declared a woman. The paper's sources say that the filing was "under submission" with a Santa Monica judge.
Jenner asked the court to keep personal information due to various threats she received, although the reason behind the reality star's petition is possibly to evade being placed in a male prison in case she is found guilty of misdemeanor manslaughter for the death of a 69-year-old widow in a February car crash.
Caitlyn, who according to reports still has a penis, has expressed fear of being sent to a jail for men, if convicted. Many prisons in the U.S. assign transgender women to male prisons if they still possess a penis. If that is the case for Caitlyn, she runs the risk of being forcibly sodomized in a male prison.
TMZ reports that although Caitlyn has received a lot of support for her gender transition, not everyone is happy, resulting in threats of physical harm. She has also expressed apprehension over providing personal information such as medical records.
Caitlyn's friends have actually celebrated her official name change at her Malibu pad, shown in an episode of "I am Cait."
