The latest snapshot of the BlackBerry Venice was spotted at the Toronto Film Festival showing the smartphone's chassis design, user interface and some features.
The rumored Android-based BlackBerry Venice has been the subject of several leaks in the past couple of months. The leaked photos were picked up by Android Authority and show the BlackBerry Venice sliding QWERTY keyboard, curved display and the 18-megapixel rear facing camera. The photos also reveal the smartphone's Recent Apps menu and the shortcut/widget selection menu, both appears to be running on a stock Android Lollipop operating system.
According to NDTV, the BlackBerry Venice will also allow users to add home screen communication shortcuts for them to be able to easily compose emails, BBM messages, emails and texts messages. There is also a shortcut tab dedicated for Calendar and agendas.
One of the leaked photos suggests that the recent apps' size will depend on how often the user uses the app. Another photo shows three shortcuts for Google Now, quick messaging and local search.
Moreover, the BlackBerry Venice will run on the Android Lollipop platform with some specific tweaks from BlackBerry. Rumors also claim that booting up the Venice will show a bugdroid holding a shield.
Previous rumors claim that the BlackBerry Venice will sport a 5.4-inch curved quad HD display. The Venice is believed to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset with a six-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. The device expected to be launched in November will sport 3GB of internal memory.
Despite the rumors and massive amount of leaked information to back it up, BlackBerry still has not officially announced the device.
