A new set of leaked live photograph of the rumored BlackBerry Venice smartphone are making round on the tech community. The photograph shows the smartphone running on the Android operating system and features the Home screen along with famous Android apps like Chrome and the Play Store.
Prior to the new leak, several leaked photograph of the highly anticipated smartphone from BlackBerry have already hit the Internet. Previous leak showed some of the phone's renders, according to The Verge.
However, the new leak is completely different from previous ones as this is the first photograph that shows the phone's actual build running on the Android platform. The photo also shows the sliding physical QWERTY keyboard, a typical feature for a device coming from BlackBerry.
While the phone's official name had not been confirmed yet, it is currently known in the tech community simply by the codename Venice.
From what it looks on the leaked photo, the Venice runs on a slightly modified version of Android Lollipop. BlackBerry has yet to confirm what operating system will be integrated on the device. On the other hand, many experts agree that it should run on at least Android Lollipop while some speculate that it might run on the recently announced Android Marshmallow.
Rumors around several tech websites claim that the BlackBerry Venice will sport a 5.4-inch screen with Quad HD display. At its heart is the Snapdragon 808 processor which also powers the LG G4 smartphone. Internal memory is likely to be around 3GB which is becoming a trend nowadays for most powerful and high-end devices. According to PC World, Venice will also sport an 18-megapixel rear facing main camera and a 5-megapixel front facing secondary camera.
The BlackBerry Venice is expected to be released in November within the United States.
